Guidelines for infants/children pre and post procedures requiring sedation

I am looking to update our guidelines to give to parents when their infant/child requires conscious sedation in an outpatient setting. The child comes in and is sedated by either the pediatric radiology nurse or anesthesiologist.
Currently, we tell them:
breast fed infants may nurse up to 4 hours before procedure
infants and children may have clear liquids up to 2 hours before. Children may have a light meal 6 hours before.
We havent had a post guideline sheet.
My questions: Are the above similar to what you do?
What do you tell parents to do post procedure at home?
Thanks for your input.
