Question All the Wongs

I'd like som advice on choosing between the different editions of Wong's books on pediatric nursing.

Which one should I choose?

Wong's Essentials of Pediatric Nursing,
Wong's nursing care of infants and children, or
Wong's Clinical Manual of Pediatric Nursing?

What I need most is straight-forward careplans, I suppose.

/Anders

Re: All the Wongs

If you need care plans it might be the Clinical manual. That is a nice book although I don't have a copy and my present unit might not have one, either, I hadn't noticed it. My last hospital peds unit (and now we're going back 5 years) had one and I think it included care plans. Also includes lots of quick reference guides and procedures. Essentials does include care plans also, for select pathologies but is more of a general textbook. Care of Infants and Children is a more comprehensive version of Essentials, I'm not sure what it includes care plan wise. I always used it for patho that wasn't in my Essentials until I found Nelsons. Did you try checking out some nursing schools libraries to see if they have copies you can compare?
