adolescent nursing

I am a senior nursing student and am very interested in working with teens, but I also am interested in a critical care unit. i know there are general adolescent wards but i was wondering if there is such a thing as an icu just for adolescents and young adults. if anyone has heard of this please let me know!

Re: adolescent nursing

Have you looked into a Shock Trauma ICU? Although it's unfortunate, adolescents and young adults are some of the most frequent victims of traumatic injury seen in trauma centers.
