I want to start a Health Ministry in my church.
Are there any Churches in WV that have a Parish Nurse or have a Health Ministry in pLace that I could contact? What like to correspond with you. Are there any CEUs, conference, or seminanars in or near WV? How do you educate your pastor and the church to be accept this type of ministry? I am sure they will have many questions on this.

If your church is affiliated with a denomination, you could try contacting the national offices and see if they can help you. The Presbyterians have a lot of info about parish nursing on http://www.pcusa.org
Several of the books mentioned earlier in this thread also have info on how to start a parish nurse ministry, talking to the pastor and congregation about parish nursing, etc.
Good luck,
Lyn
