...and applied for a job in a Surgicenter that does everything. I have been recovery room in hospital nursing for several years and I am burnt out(and I work part-time!). I went down in hours because I thought it would help me but I am just as frustrated as I was. The center is totally certified and approved by Medicare and the big J. It is 1/4 mile from my house(I drive 30 minutes each way now), and NO CALL!
Wish me luck. Just applied on Friday.

Good luck! And let us know how it goes - sometimes joining a new group allows you to put a mark in how things are run, and people are more willing to stretch.

Smile Congrats!

Congratulations! That sounds great - no call I LOVE working in the OR, but I've always hated the call. One of these days I'm going to apply to a Surgicenter myself.

Good news is, I got a call back today!
Bad news, I was at work and my hubby took a message, so I have to wait until Wednesday to call them back(I work tomorrow).
So it looks like a possibility that they are interested.

Thanks. I did get it but had to turn it down because of the insurance benefits. I am staying put for now but the whole experience of applying and being wanted somewhere kind of charged me up(until the next meltdown).
