Question Pay for carring the beeper

I am trying to get our doctors involved in getting us higher pay for being "on call" not actually coming in just being available.

Please give the following info.

Region -
# of OR's -
$$ for being on call only -
specialty get extra?? -

Region - East Texas Level 2 Trauma Center
# of OR's - 13
$$ for being on call only - 2 (hanging head in shame)
specialty get extra?? - No

Thank you, I'm trying to get amounts for comparable settings.

Region -Upstate NY
# of OR's -7
$$ for being on call only -$2.00
specialty get extra?? - no

It's not much money, but I actually welcome the excuse to have to stay home and available. My wife and I have so many things going on that being home for two days on a weekend is a blessing in disguise.

Re: Pay for carring the beeper

Central Indiana-non profit
6 ORs, 2 endoscopy
$2 for carrying the beeper, 4 hr min. pay for call in. T1/2 Sat., Dbl time Sun--24 hr weekday staffing so no weekday call
No specialty pay. (Specialties at facility include eyes, spine [includes all fusions], totals, vascular [AAA and endovascular])

We are told when we have pay adjustments (always for the better) that all of our pay ranges, including call, are based on regional comparisons. If this is true, then most facilities around me would be paid close to the same.
