I'm sure you're asking if it's a good sign indicating that the nurse manager is interested in accepting you. I've never been, never will be a NM so your guess/ and feel of the situation is as good as mine. I do think though that being asked to observe is probably a good sign indicating a positive OR atmosphere. I assume she wouldn't have wanted an interested person observing if she thought they might be witnessing bickering or hostility that some ORs are known for. Or hear a lot of complaining about schedules, surgeons, and staff. She apparently is confident that her team will present a professional, friendly/welcoming appearence. Sounds good. Also sounds like she wants you to have a fresh view of the OR to see if you'll like it or not, you probably noticed things you didn't in school. Sounds like she wants you to stay if she hires you! Good sign! Too many people quit halfway through an intense and expensive oriention because it wasn't what they expected. I could be wrong but observation before hire hints to me of thorough orientation after hire. Good luck!
