I recently had surgery on both feet. 11 days post-op developed a staph infection. Our Pod. MD's don't give pre-op antibiotics. How do I approch this? Ask my manager to inservice staff on proper prep's using Hibicleans?
Ask the MD if they can start giving pre-op antibiotics? (they are currently the only service which doesn't)
Give it to the infection control nurse to figure out?
Not say anything and just be more aware in my own practice?
My MD says he's never had a post-op infection before(?)

Kind of a touchy situation since I don't want to come across as pointing the finger at anyone. Just that I would like to bring to their attention.

I know asking all of you will give me a direction.
