Moving to the OR

Hello!

After ten years in OBS, I'm moving to a pediatric OR job in September. I have some OR experience in that we scrub and circulate for our operative deliveries, but I know that this will be much different. I will be scrubbing and circulating there too, of course. I'm excited and nervous.

Just wondering, any tips, tricks, words of encouragment, advice?

Re: Moving to the OR

If you're doing cases with NICU babes, just be forewarned the OR will be a sauna! I used to get ice packs to shove down the backs of the scrub techs...and have been know to have one of the iced peri-pads drop out of my pants as I had it shoved into my low back (I swear!!). That was embarrassing...
