As a new OR nurse, should I purchase a subscription to a journal? And also should I join AORN?

If I sign up for a journal should I get only introperative or should I also get other ones too??

What are your recommendations??

I came to the o.r. after being a surg tech for 10 yrs. I subscribe to RN magazine because I felt that I needed a stronger med-surg foundation.I've never belonged to the ARON but have been thinking lately that it might be a good idea.

I recommend joining AORN. The local meetings are a good networking tool and you'll also receive the monthly AORN journal. Support the association that supports us!
