Do any of you guys heckle your surgeons? I'll usually say something to my Ortho Guys like " Do you need me to call the Gyn docs in here to help?" The other one and not to be sexist but: "Would you like me to call Dr[insert female staff surgeon] to help you put that screw in?"

This is not mean spirited but playful.

Also You can say: "Hey doc this isn't a petting zoo" while they exam for 30 minutes.

Oh sure!LOL! I had worked with a Gyn doc who always whined about the general docs having it all. So when I was scrubbed, every once in a while I would say if he asked for something new....."Well, it would have been right there for you if you were a general doctor!"

I had a great,funny doubletake moment the other day.

I was setting up for a penile implant case, bringing the already picked instruments and supplies into the room. On the cart was an instrument case labelled "Large Bone"...

It took me a moment to realize that this was a leftover from another case.
