Cosmetic and Plastic surgery

Hello,
Just wondering if any of you RNs work for a plastic surgeon and how you like it. Is the pay equivelant to hospital pay? Trying to decide if I should make the switch. getting ready to take classes for collagen/botox and laser.

Just beware. Many docs say they are plastic surgeons but they are not! If they have an M.D they can do anything "legally".Doesn't mean they know what they are doing. It's amazing the things they get away with when they are not supervised. I worked for one guy who had me circulating, doing sedation, and pushing Ketamine. He didn't have oxygen on any patient and there was no O2 in the tank or masks around. If the pt desatted, he said to do a jaw thrust... Before you way are you nuts for working there, remember I was a new grad. I quit after 1 week after I took ACLS and figured out what could happen!!!
