advance degrees for OR nursing

Hi, I am interested in applying to a direct-entry masters program. What seems interesting to me is perioperative nursing so I was wondering what advance degrees would be helpful if I worked in the OR. Acute care nurse specialist? Nurse practitioner? Any info is appreciated. thanks!

Actually, the OR is one place where you don't need an advanced degree unless you want to be in management. There are no clinical specialists or nurse practitioner positions in the OR. They do use nurse practitioners in some recovery rooms and in pre-op testing in the larger medical centers.
