ONC Eligability Question!

I graduated from nursing school on 5/1/05. I passed my boards on 6/29/05. I want to sit for the ONC on May 20, does it make me ineligable if I haven't been an actual RN since 5/20? Or do I have to wait until October to take them?! (I practices as a GN, too!)

And, I've tried all the bookstores in my area - is there any webpage online where the NAON Core Curriculum is cheaper, or is anyone willing to part with theirs for a fee? Thanks!

Try orthonurse.org

All the information for the ONC should be found there. It's been 20 years since I first was certified but I think you have to have so many hours as an RN before you can even apply. I will say this it's the HARDEST exam I ever had to take.

Re: ONC Eligability Question!

hi, I just hired as RN in Ortho/Neuro unit...I found myself interesting to have ONC...as I searched, I need to work on the floor for two years or at least 1000 hrs and I can wait for that. What will be the benefits that ONC will give me...please tell me everything! More power to u!
