Advanced Practice? Sports Medicine?

I was wondering what kind of advanced practice oppertunities anyone knows of in the field of orthopedics or sports medicine? I am more than halfway through nursing school and I have just discovered a huge interest in the musculoskeletal system and orthopedics in general in surgery, rehab, fractures, treatments, everything. Especially sports medicine but anything.

Re: Advanced Practice? Sports Medicine?

That's exactly how I felt when I "discovered" orthopaedics. You could work in surgery, teach, go for an advanced practice nurse degree and work as a nurse practitioner in ortho, you could become an athletic department nurse there are unlimited options once you see your way clear.
