What skills and qualities are needed?

I am a student working on a project for school.
What skills and qualities in particular would you consider most valuable for an Oncology Nurse? Pros and Cons of the area? Any input would be greatly appreciated!
Also, may I have your permission to use your responses and link to your threads?

Thanks in advance!

Communication skills rate very highly in uk for oncology nurses particularly where I work which is an entirely nurse-led outpatients unit. Clinical skills; cannulation, IV & cytotoxic drug administration need to be excellent , also drug knowledge is crucial to ensure that side effects are appropriately managed.
