Multiple Myeloma

Hello. My father in law was just diagnosed 3 weeks with Multiple Myeloma after months of being treated for anemia and being admitted to the hospital with renal failure. He is home with us now and Hospice will be in Tuesday. He goes to Chemo twice a week. I am wandering what any of your experiences were with this disease and what I can expect. Thank you. He is 71 by the way.

Yes his pain is currently managed with Lortab 5/500, however it is still a 7 on the pain scale. So hopefully Hospice can aid in finding the proper medication for him. It is just hard as a nurse caring for someone and not knowing enough about this type of cancer to help. Thank you for responding.
