Update on pregnancy

Hi Everyone!
Had my weekly appt. today and I am going to be induced on Oct. 8th. I will be exactly 41 weeks. I am very nervous and scared b/c of all I hear and read. He hasn't checked me due to my concerns of GBS but I see him this Wednesday. I am hoping and praying to go into labor on my own. I want to stay positive. What should I expect from being induced? He also mentioned that they will put a gel (tape) into the vagina to soften the cervix and maybe get labor going that way?? Just say a little prayer for me that I go into labor this week and if I don't that my induction goes well. Thanks for the support you have given to me the last few weeks. It goes a long way.

Jennifer

Labor starting on it's own is best, so we'll pray that will happen this week! If it doesn't, we'll be praying that the induction goes well... you will be in our thoughts and prayers. Let us know how you are... take care of you and that little one!

When I was pregnant with my daughter my doctor decided to induce labor b/c my blood pressure was out of control.. I went into the hospital on a wednesday afternoon and that thursday morning they started the pitocin at 6am and by 11am that thursday morning my daughter was born.. She was 7lbs even and 18 inches long and had a head full of jet black hair and huge hands.. She was absolutely beautiful.. Good luck and I will say a prayer for you..
