What are the generic discharge instruction for a s/p TVH given? Do you usually have preprinted handouts or is the post op information usually verbal? If the patient has been on a PCA would you note that? Thanks

We do have pre-printed handouts/discharge instructions that discuss home care, medication use, precautions, etc., as well as follow-up w/physician after TVH. We also discuss these w/the patient prior to d/c and they sign one copy, and keep the other to refer to, once they are home.
