I'll be an e-mail buddy. I have worked L&D for over 3 years and have lots of stories (my husband and sons laugh til their sides hurt, but I know they get tired of hearing about my patients). My address is sjkpooh1@aol.com.

Cool

I also would also be interested in having a pen pal. I'm just starting to get my prereqs done right now to work on getting a BSN. I am very interested in working in the mother/baby unit or in women's health. I have 4 kids (including 11-1/2 month old twins) and would like to here the ups and downs of being a nurse and trying to work/school with kids.

I am also a mother trying to finish up prerequisites to start nursing and eventually be in L&D, my dream. How is it going for you?

I haven't gone back to school yet since I had the twins. I start back next month with Statistics and Medical Terminalogy. I hope to do Chem in the Fall. I'm really looking forward to it. Before the twins were born and my other 2 were small, I just studied when I could and having my husband is a life saver!! He does the dishes, cooks and does laundry. I would also like to volunteer at a hospital in labor and delivery just to see what it is like. The only experience I have is having 4 kids I have never worked in the medical field but something keeps nagging at me that I want to be a nurse. I guess it's that "calling" thing.
