neonatal nurse practitioners

Hi everyone,
I'm a student and I'm researching the roles of different advanced practice nurses. I was wondering what the role of neonatal nurse practitioners is. What is a typical day? Do they work with only NICU patients, or well babies as well? Is this a growing field? What are the typical salary ranges for a nurse starting out in this field? Any info would be great!
