My 22 weeker with ruptured membranes update

Hi all, I just wanted to update you all on this patient. She was an inpt for awhile with membrane rutpture around 22 weeks. I was seeking things to entertain her while a pt. She ended up signing herself out and went home. Consequently, around 29 weeks, she went in for contractions and further leakage, to an acute care hospital (vs our community hospital) and delivered via csection ( repeat)...The baby initially survived but sadly, died soon afterwards from a hypoplastic heart......So sad....

Oh, too bad. That's very sad. Why did she sign herself out?

She said she had three other little ones at home and just couldn't stand being away from them. I think she knew the outcome would not be good. We tried to talk her out of leaving but were unsuccessful...
