Question Looking To Do L&d But Where?

Hi, all!

I am ready to do my life's dream and go into L&D nursing. For the past 8 years I have not pursued this interest for one reason or another (lately it has been that I don't want to do nights and that's all that's open). I would prefer days, but am now ready to make the sacrifice to get in. I want the best orientation, but don't know where to start.

Can anyone recommend a certain hospital with a L&D internship or a great educational program? I would like to move south--FL or TX if possible. Thanks!!

Go to www.nursingspectrum.com and search the jobs. There was a great one advertising nursing training programs in L&D and other specialty areas, but I forget the exact hospitals. There were a few in Texas

Check out Arnold Palmer Hospital. It's the BEST! Message me if you have any questions. Look it up on the net. They have a really cool tour of the unit. They're planning on building a 1,000,000 sq. ft. new hospital addition to include L&D. It looks awesome! And the team members from nurse manager to staff nurse, are great! And I believe all shifts are open at this time.

I think their website is: ORHS.org

I just noticed that you're from Ohio. We moved from the Toledo area. Neat!
