Question? - EFM documentation of episodic and periodic

I recently attended AWHONN's intermediate fetal monitoring course. At my facility we have already implimented the NICHD guidelines. We are now tweeking our documentation to represent the best practice. However, a co-worker attended the same course but at a different facility. The information we were provided was different in relationship to documentation. The program I attended stressed documenting the periodic/episodic change by the NICHD defined label, i.e., late deceleration. The other course stressed providing periodic/episodic in the documentation, i.e., periodic late deceleration. Can anyone pleas shed light on what their facility does? or Provided where I can obtain more information to resolve this discrepancy?
