Question Dialating ?

HI everyone sorry to bother you with this question but its driving me nuts. I am 25 weeks pregnant with my 4th and earlier this week I was admitted to L&D for cramping and spotting(bright red). I was put on the monitor but it wouldn't pick up the Heart rate. So the nurse used a doppler to find the babys heart rate which was in the 140's and fine, she said that the DR (a resident) would probably check my cervix and do an ultrasound and send me home if everything checked out. The DR came in did a vaginal exam( I say vaginal because she never reached my cervix which has always been posterior) and said I was closed and told the nurse to have me sign discharge papers. The dr was very cold toward me like I had interrupted her, I am not one to run to the dr for the least thing and this is my 4th baby so I can usually can determine what is normal for me and what is not.
I left feeling uncomfortable about the situation but felt that they probably knew whats best. I am still cramping down there like when I was dialating with my other kids, I spotted again today (bright pink) but it has stopped. I feel lots of pressure down low, not contractions but cramping and pressure. Do you think that I am being paranoid? I almost know that I am dialated but my next appt with my dr is 3 weeks away! Was I treated appropriately?
Any advice??
Thank you guys so much!

You need to call your primary care provider ASAP. Don't wait for your appt. If there is something going on, he/she should be aware of it.

I agree. If you are getting worse go back to L&D!

Go see someone! Anyone that will take care of you! Don't wait...this is YOUR health and YOUR baby you're talking about!

Even if you are not dilated, it could be the beginning of something bad...not to scare you, but you don't want to take that chance...

We always tell our patients to come back whenever they feel the need. You should be checked out again. Cultures to determine infection (the spotting) should be included in this check-up, too.

Agree with Betsy on this one. Get checked out. Let us know how you are doing, ok?

I agree with everyone as well but one question...How do you know the doc didn't reach your cervix if she told you you were closed?
