Smile Breastfeeding/lactation Consultant

Hello! This is my first post and first use of your amazing website. Curious to chat with any other hospital based lactation consultants regarding staff development.
Yours in lactation,

Just out of curiosity, what does it take to become a lactation consultant? Ditto with a Lamaze instructor? Can someone clue me in please that knows? Thanks.

HI

I'm not a consultant yet, but a breastfeeding educator, hoping to work towards my lactation consultant. We don't currently have one in our hospital, and the RN's do most of the teaching, even though many of them would rather not!

Take Care,
Lisa
