Question anyone familiar with an endometrial hematoma

Can anyone tell me anything about an endometrial hematoma? I see my OB doc today because he thinks I may have one. He says they don't see them that often though.
I wasn't able to really find anything out about it on yahoo search.
Thanks

I knew a lady with twins that had one. They put her on bedrest (standard protocol for many OB's to initiate this)---but my understanding is, according to studies, this may not affect the outcome one way or the other. You have to ask you OB what he/she thinks. Really, there is not too much you can do about this except see your doctor if bleeding starts. They can do u/s to see the extent of bleeding and hospitalize you, managing you conservatively.

Good news is, this lady went on to deliver BOTH twins in healthy and happy condition. It was a worrisome pregnancy that ended VERY well. I wish you the best. Let us know how things progress. GOOD LUCK!

I am not expecting The doc doesn't think it is the hematoma, it is endometriosis.
I had my tubes tied a year ago last May, and starting this past February around the time I get my period I have pain on my right lower abdomen. It has kept me down once or twice. Ultrasound showed nothing and the pelvic today dismissed the hematoma. (pain in wrong location) So now I get the joy of restarting birth control pills even though I had a tubal! JOY JOY!
My endometriosis is in the posterior cul de sac of the uterus. (hope that is right) He first found it when I had the tubal.
So, we will see what the pills do for me.
