I understand after 2015 most APNs will then be required to have a PhD. What Masters programs will be available at that time?

It's not the PhD that will probably be the terminal degree for the APN, it is the DNP (Doctorate of Nursing Practice).

There will be Masters degrees, yes, but if the DNP becomes mandatory, all APNs will be required to obtain a DNP to practice as APN (CRNA, NP, CNS, CMN). Masters will still exist, but not for the terminal degree for the APN.

My biggest question is that if one starts a part-time NP program (4 yrs to completion) in 2011 and finishes in 2015, will they be grandfathered in?
