NP & PA - So how do you.... (NP, PA, MD....)

Iin the spirit of sharing (title has NP/PA/MD in it) I am starting up a thread here…. Please: Contribute, ask patient care questions, share insights!

So to start:
Diabetes (I know what the literature states about care I want to know how it’s being treated / handled in the real world by my peers). Since I work with a doctor and his treatment regiments are more conservative than mine… Lets stick with adults but that does not mean I wouldn’t like to hear about the your generation treatments..

What are your diagnostic parameters… Besides lifestyle modifications how do you start / progress…

Re: So how do you.... (NP, PA, MD....)

I work with adult ESRD pts and most are ESRD because of diabetes and/or HTN. For the few that aren't DM already, I do at least yearly hgbA1Cs and for cause, random blood glucoses.
