Difference between AANP and ANCC certification for NP's?

Hi everyone, I'm in the middle of a graduate MSN program to finish up as an FNP while working as a staff RN in critical care. I am confused about the choice of certifying entities when it comes to FNP certification. Is there one that is more respectable than the other? (ANCC vs. AANP) I've heard various opinions....some say both are same and other same one is better than the other but I haven't really heard enough to make a decision on which certifying exam to take? Any thoughts, comments, suggestions would be most appreciated. Thanks. Is there truly a "better" certifying body between ANCC and AANP?
