RNC vs CCRN

I am relatively new to the NICU (just about 1 year) and was wondering if anyone can tell me the difference between CCRN and RNC. When can I take these tests? Do I have to be working 2 years or 1? Which is better?

RNC is offered by the National Certification Corporation and requires two years in NICU. They also offer certifications for some other maternal-newborn specialties.

CCRN is sponsored by the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses (AACN) and requires 1,750 bedside hours (about 1 yr) within the last two years. They offer adult, pediatric and neonatal CCRN exams.

The RNC is more recognized in NICU's.
