I've been a NICU RN for about a year and a half now. Although not actively seeking a new job, I believe that it never hurts to have an updated resume handy. My question is this: How detailed do you make your resume? Do you include all skills, equipment, etc. that you've used, or is that implied in an RN resume? Does anyone out there have any websites where I can view sample RN resumes? Or anyone out there in a hiring position that would be willing to review my resume for me?

No need to list specific procedures or equipment unless they are very different from that of a typical NICU. The extra details would only add clutter and annoy the reader. Just list the job, the level of NICU, and your major responsibilities. For example, "staff nurse" "preceptor" "charge nurse" etc.

2005-2007 NICU Staff Nurse, XYZ Hospital, City, CO.
Provided bedside care and shared charge nurse responsibilities in the Level III Neonatal ICU.

If there are additional things about that job that are special or different or that show you achieved some special skill, certification or status, include that as well. But there is no need to state that you know how to take vitals signs, give meds, start IV's, suction ET tubes, etc. If you are a competent NICU nurse, then it is assumed you have the basic skills for that sort of job. Just put the stuff that is unique or that shows a higher than average level of performance.
