Hey everyone! I'm a senior in high school, and we have to do a research paper. Since I'm interested in becoming a neonatal nurse, I thought it'd be helpful for me to do my paper on something related to it. The trouble is, I'm having a hard time finding a specific topic to do it on. I was wondering if any of you had any suggestions that would be good for me to research. We have to be able to prove something in this paper. Example - Say I wanted to do my paper on dinosaurs - I couldn't just do dinosaurs because it's too broad of a subject. I'd have to narrow it down to something that can be proved, like different theories on how they became extinct. So I can't really think of anything on my own that deals with neonatal that can be proved. The closest I've come to finding a topic is about maternal drug abuse during preganancy, and how it affects both the mother and infant. So I was just wondering if you knew of anything that I might could do! I'd really appreciate some input! Thanks!

Lindsay

There are many different genetic defects that are interesting. Have you thought about Trisomy 21....that is a relatively easy one to research. Or Twin-twin transfusion if you want a challenge. Good Luck
