I just wanted to say hello and introdudce myself. My name is Laurie and I am currently working part time on a medical surgical floor, but my passion is the NICU. I have already talked with the Nurse manager for the unit and she is aware of my enrollment in the perinatal/neonatal courses for RN's. This Friday is the Neonatal Resuscitation Course, I am so looking forward to a career in this field.

If any of you have any words of advice, further reading materials suggestions or anything to add, please be my guest.

There are a ton of suggestions on here as far as reading materials, etc., goes. If you have problems searching out the old threads, let me know, okay?

Have you tried the sticky at the top of the forum? There is one dedicated to recommended books!

Good luck with your NRP class! I really enjoyed taking it.
