Does anyone know anything about Parkland's NICU in Dallas,TX? By the way, I have already posted questions in Texas' forum. Thanks, have a blessed week.

Re: Parkland

I don't know too much but live in the area. What I know is that they are very busy (their L&D is one of if not the busiest in the nation). Also a lot of Spanish speaking only parents. At one point (when the shortage wasn't as bad) they were only hiring bilingual nurses to their Women's health department. No one can afford to be that picky anymore.

Re: Parkland

Parkland already has 40 applicants for the 10 slots in the NICU intership program they are starting in January. I am interviewing on the 26th for a position in L&D since NICU openings are now closed. The recruiter for that department is Patricia Vasquez and her email address is:

"PATRICIA VASQUEZ" <PVASQU@parknet.pmh.org>

Very Large NICU, high acuity....

The NICU is very large Level III (the only thing they don't do is ECMO), high acuity, great residency program and variety. PM if you'd like more info.
