Need info about Left Heart Hypoplasia

I need some information. My niece was born last Wednesday and was diagnosed with Left Heart Hypoplasia. Long story short, given all the options, Mom and Dad have decided to have surgery to convert her to a single ventricle heart, knowing that this will require multiple surgeries throughout her life. I guess I just want to know what the general prognosis is and maybe a little more info about the disease itself. I am an L&D nurse so I only have a very basic understanding. Thanks for your help.

This is a great site that goes over the Norwood procedure which they do for LHH.
