What is the best book the prepare for this exam?

We are using the" Core Curriculum for Neonatal Intensive Care Nursing" and its accompanying study guide in our RNC class. We are also reviewing "Physical Assessment of the Newborn." Sorry, but I can't remember the authors.....Good Luck!

It's a specialty certification for NICU nurses. RNC certifications are also available in a few other maternal/perinatal specialties. You need two years of experience to be eligible for the exam. Check out the link here:

A better book to get is the core curriculum for neonatal intensive care review book. Get the one with the questions in it. The regular core curriculum book doesnt really have rationales. The review book has just questions with the answers and rationales in the back.

I've taken both RNC tests low risk and neonatal intensive care. If you plan on taking the intensive care test you'll need some additional books. Find a good Protocols in Neonatal Nursing book.

I passed my RNC using Core Curriculum as did most of my co workers. It has an answer book that is helpful too.

There is a new Curriculum and Core Review (sample questions, answers and rationales) being released in April. I have already ordered mine and will be taking my exam within the next 90 days.
