I was induced starting on a Tuesday night, my water broke at noon on Wednesday, and I started pushing at midnight. Unfortunately, after over an hour of hard work, she wasn't budging - stuck around -1 station. I finally begged for a c-section because I was exhausted, even though I really fought hard for a vaginal birth. I couldn't do it though - if she wasn't moving at all despite what they all said was proper pushing, what was I supposed to do? They found out that her head was turned to the side and she was stuck when they did go in to get her out. Luckily she tolerated everything well, and her apgars were 8 and 9! No NICU for my little one, born at 37-1/2 weeks. She was 6 pounds, 7 ounces.
Here's a pic of the baby that I took yesterday - 3 weeks old...
