A bunch of us on my unit have decided that Pregestimil smells like McDonalds french fries...

That's the smell I've been trying to recognize for years. That french fry grease smell would stick to your clothes (I worked there 3 yrs during school).

I never thought that I'd say this, but I'll have to take a closer whiff of Preg next time we have a baby on it. Just to see if you guys are right!

Totally awesome to watch these two with this baby boy.

Made my heart sing to know this very young man made it back from Iraq AND got to see his son born AND got to see his wife again.

Baby OK and beautiful, just monitoring him.

That must have been AMAZING!

kangarooing is stripping a baby down to the diaper and placing it on bare skin of the parent's chest. the skin to skin keeps baby warm and allows bonding. cover them all up with blankets and you have kangaroo care.

As to Pregestimil smelling like fries, I totally think it smells like potatoes!

And when I open the bag from pharmacy with the HAF/lipids in it, it smells like the garden dept @ Wal-mart. Just close your eyes, open the bag and take a whiff!

mmmmm, fertilizer...okay, okay, I've been sniffing HAF for a lot of years now.

Another happy moment happened just yesterday. Our parents of a 24wk son from 16mths ago had a full-term, healthy baby girl. The OB let dad deliver the shoulders and body; what a look on that guy's face when he told us about it.

They will have their hands full, but they wouldn't have it any other way.

Uggggggh. I got IL all over my scrub pants last night and the whole way home on the subway I was like "What is that SMELL?" But then, I love the smell of the ZFlo positioners, so who am I to judge?
