Cool new products in the NICU

Got any ideas? We are supposed to submit a list to our nurse manager, and I'm not aware of anything. Thanks.

Why don't you go on the manufacturers sites or call their reps? I'm sure they'd be more than happy to send you samples.

....I wanted to know what, if any thing other NICU's have reciently gotten and really liked. Reps just tell you anything to make a sale, I don't like sales people. I want the real true scoup from the nurses.

But guess no one has gotten anything in their units that they really liked reciently...oh well!

We have a new product called NeoPrep, used when a baby is on CPAP. It is sort of like a very small piece of Duoderm, but shaped in a way that there is a tab that covers the baby's septum. We had a real problem with damaged septums from the pressure of the CPAP prongs, but there has been a huge improvement since we started using this product.

The best place to find new gizmos is @ a conference. Children's Medical Ventures is a good company, too. I think we have a "stickie" with a "products" list.

Do you know who is the manufacturer of Neoprep? We have tried several things, with some or little success.
