I've been a registered nurse for a little over two years on a BUSY infant-toddler medical/surgical floor at a children's hospital. I am contemplating a change to the NICU within the next year but am I a little nervous about the change. I"ve been pulled to the NICU on numerous occassions and have really enjoyed the experience. I love working with the babies....I find it fascinating especially since I was a NICU baby in the late 70's. I'm looking for any advice from experienced nurses about the transition to NICU nursing and how to familarize myself with the routines. Any reading material anyone could suggest would be greatly appreciated!
