baby with labetolol reaction

I had a full-term baby that despite IVF of D10 would not maintain a glucose >50%. Symptomatic with tremors. Great formula feeder Q4 hours at least 30 ml's. Transported out and was dx with having had a reaction to maternal labetolol. Ever heard of this? And if so, what sort of plan of care is followed and what can we do to prevent this in the future?

Re: baby with labetolol reaction

This is an old article, but it discusses neonatal hypoglycemia after maternal labetalol therapy.

Re: baby with labetolol reaction

Thank you for the article. I had no clue, and apparently neither did my pediatrician. I will know to look for this in the future.
