Any tips for..

Any tips for getting the brachial pulses? I tried on a couple of babies last week and was having a difficult time. How do you position the arm? What is the best/easiest way to do this. Thanks guys, I am counting on you!

Gently grasp the medial side of the mid-humerus. Practice on yourself.

Do you go over the top, or lay the arm so that the medial aspect is facing you? (like on the infant cpr pics) My preceptor showed me over the top but I was wondering if the other method is easier? I have been practicing on myself and kidos all weekend. Sometimes I get it right off, other times it takes a few minutes.

I don't think it matters, except you don't necessarily want to wake the kid up--it'll be harder if they're squirming.
