Question Am I making the right choice??

Hi. I am currently a pediatric nurse in a clinic. I have applied for a job as a nursery/NICU nurse. I know it will be a big change. Has anyone else ever went from a Peds nurse to a NICU nurse. If so am I making the right decision? I am nervous but I know it will be the right decision in the end.

A an experienced peds nurse you should be able to bring a lot to the unit. You will have insight into what these children go through after discharge that others may not have. You could be a great resource to parents. Our unit recently hired a peds nurse with 20 years exp and we have learned so much from her! Good luck!
