What study habits work?

I will be starting a 1+1 program (1st yr LPN, 2nd yr RN) in August. I just wanted to know if you guys could share the study habits that work for you. It is imperative I be successful in Nursing school. This is my calling and I cant mess it up. I am a very visual person so I love to highlight and color code everything, make diagrams, lists, etc. And, I need to read aloud when studying so it can stick! But what I want to know is how many hours do you successful nursing students study a night to get good grades and most importantly understand the concept? What study habits do you use? Any advise???

Re: What study habits work?

You seem to have a good grasp of what kind of learner you are so just make a list of things that have worked for you in the past and things that haven't

What will set you up for failure if you try and trade what already works for you for a whole bunch of new techniques that may work for others. Add new techniques as appropriate
