Re: NCLEX: is it that hard?

I am not sure about this, but my nursing instructor told me it just got harder this April, at least in MN. I don't know if it is the same for the rest of the country, or if the test is the same nationwide.

Unhappy Re: NCLEX: is it that hard?

I heard it just got harder too. Multiple response and alternate format questions, and also a higher percentage required to pass. Originally it was 80 percent, and now it is 87 percent. I heard this from all of my instructors and from a person/panel that helps determine the questions for the nclex. I don't know for certain how much of the information is positively accurate...that is just what I have heard recently.

I graduate in June....and I pray I can pass it.

Smile Re: NCLEX: is it that hard?

i have heard from my instructors that the "passing score" has been raised up as of April 1st, but i haven't heard anything about the NCLEX getting any harder.....but hey, dont feel discouraged. keep thinking positive and continue studying hard everyone, and i m sure all of us will pass. DONT change ur career goals just bcuz u r scared of the NCLEX, nothing can hold you bak if you are dedicated to make your dreams and goals come true

Re: NCLEX: is it that hard?

i m almost done with my 3rd term and i study about 2 to 3 hrs, 4 days a week now.....in the beginning, i was studying around 4 to 5 hrs, and it does get better as you move on with the course......and with that much studying, i have been able to manage 96% average throught all of my terms.....and if i can do it....then anybody could do it, trust me on this......i m not very brainy or smart, i m shocked at myself for doing so well. I just hve to remind myself everyday that "i want to be a Nurse and will finish wut i have started". Just stay focused and you will b fine......GOOD LUCK!!!!!
