Re: LPN/LVN schools in georgia

I went to Lanier Tecnical College. They have a few locations- Oakwood, Dawsonville, Alpharetta. Gwinnett Tech also has a LPN program and Kennesaw State might have one.

Re: LPN/LVN schools in georgia

Dear Kersaint,
I don't remember it being terribly difficult to get into the program at Lanier Tech, but that has been a few years ago now. I had to, of course submit the "general " application to be accepted to the school. I then had to apply seperately to the nursing program and take the NLN which they use to determine admittance. I had taken my core classes (math, english, etc.) at Gainesville College previously to ensure the credits would transfer in case I want to obtain a degree from another college later. Many classes taken at a technical school would not transfer to a "regular" college at that time, though this may have changed since.

Here is a link to the current requirements:

The following link has more details related to Lanier Tech's Practical Nursing Program:
http://www.laniertech.edu/academic-p...ical%20Nursing Diploma

I hope this helps. Good Luck!
Stoop

Re: LPN/LVN schools in georgia

So did you find a school, in GA?
I did a bit more research and TN has a better option than Tx if any one is desperate looking for a school. Look for the state board of nursing for the state you are in and it will bring up all the approved nursing schools in that state.
Good luck to you to.
