It's not rocket science to figure out where you can find a NCLEX-RN review book. Have you tried like Barnes & Noble?

That is horrible. A fellow nurse asks a simple question, and you are being rude. That is a shame.

I guess it is rocket science to be courteous. People come here to share and obtain information in an environment where they can be comfortable and not have to be up tight if they asked a decent question or not.

Here's a thread from B&N:
Barnes*&*Noble.com - Book Search: RN REVIEW

And another for a nursing book club, get 3 books for $1.99, pay shipping and buy another book for I think $15.00 in the year and that's all your membership entails:
Healthcare Professionals Book Service®: Search Results

They have a few books I used in school as well. Good luck in your education Moody!

Re: Excelsior College or College Network

I apologize for my comment. I am an Excelsior college graduate and proud of it. A lot of people do not approve of Excelsior because of the lack of clinical skills involved in the program. I just thought that your question would add more ammunition to the fire for the people that are against Excelsior. Again, I apologize and moodychick if there is anything I can do to help you out in the program, please do not hesitate to contact me.

How long does it take after you apply for admission to get accepted. Then how long does it take to get the transcripts looked at and your pre-classes approved. Just curious trying to get things together to see if I can do the EC thing if I dont get accepted at my local CC.

It took about 3 wks , I am sending my enrollment paper work this wk It will be about 1-2 wks when I hear that I am enrolled, just long enough for my check to clear. then I will take NC3, I requested a NSG catalog it has alot of info about degree requirements,It says you can't take the CPNE until you have finished all NC.

But from what I understand you can apply to take the clinicals after you have passed NC 4.

Re: Excelsior College or College Network

I graduated this year and to apply for the CPNE I had to have completed ALL of my NC tests and I think 21 credits of the 31 General requirements credits as well. If you've heard different than I would suggest contacting EC to get the correct info.

Re: Excelsior College or College Network

You should have done your homework because college network is just a publishing company. You could've saved a ton of money just going through excelsior.edu. They give you content guides to study from and you just read exactly what they say. Also, they have practice tests (200 questions) for you (at $60) but it has saved me and helped me with what I needed to study more of.

Good luck.
