How do I go more into private nursing
|
|
I'm a RN in Nebraska. I recently started working as an Indep contractor through our health and human services for a quadrepeligic vent patient. I like this but would like to have more of a variety of cases. I'm looking for refernces on how to get started, what to do, what not to do, payment, just everything and anything I would need to know to get out there. Any suggestions or referrals to websites would be greatly appreciated.

Are you seeking information on agency private duty, IP information for your state, or something else? I just need more pointed information. ARe you thinking about opening an agency yourself or looking for billing/malpractice/taxes information? Not sure.

Not through an agency. I like being on my own. I two boys so want to be able to stay at home with them as much as possible. I was also thinking about life insurence nurse, but not havin g very many leads on that either.
Thanks!

Yes. I've worked upper management ever since graduating and am tired of the poliitcs. Plus I have 2 boys who are starting school, so need something flexable (daycares are too expensive - esp with transportation!) I was thinking about making some little pamphlets with soime of my experiences listed and my contact info (we live in an "older community") and just start passing around. I'm just not sure about everything else that I would need to do. Thanks

Definately have malpractice insurance. Form some type of LLC so a legal claim/suit cannot get your personnal assets. Draw a contract/seek legal council to do so.
