Wink Smoke free April 1st

My husband and I are going to our doc tomorrow to get some help w/ smoking cessation. Our quit date is April 1st. I'm both excited and nervous. We've tried before and have been unsuccessful but this time I think that I am really ready to give it up for good. If my husband is able to do this w/ me it will help me sooooo much because then the temptation will be that much less. Wish us luck.

Re: Smoke free April 1st

Good Luck!

I have attempted to quit recently. I was never a heavy smoker until the last job. I tried chantix here recently and it did NOTHING for me. I have had luck with wellbutrin but don't have it and can't afford it.

I quit the chantix and I am now down from 2 packs per day to 1-5 or 10 cigarettes a day. Actually, I get a buzz when I smoke them now.

It helps if your partner tries with you. Mine still smokes. I might have to leave him to stay healthy.

Best of luck to you both, ER-baby and BrokenRNheart. I know there is way more than luck involved, so wishing you both peace, strength, and willpower as well.
